Goa, Oct. 15 -- The Tamil Nadu government, led by the DMK, is preparing to introduce a contentious bill aimed at banning Hindi films, songs, and hoardings throughout the state. The move, supporters argue, is a response to what they view as the "imposition of Hindi" by the central government.

According to reports, the legislation may be tabled on the final day of the current assembly session. It seeks to prohibit Hindi-language content-from public signage and advertisements to cinema and musical performances-to safeguard Tamil identity and linguistic pride.
