PANJIM, Feb. 21 -- Traditional farmers from Taleigao, who have been cultivating local vegetables in their fields for decades, report a surge in demand for their produce in the market. However, they lament that despite the high demand and quick sales, they are not receiving a fair price for their locally grown vegetables. They grow ladyfingers, red bhaji, chillies, brinjals, and tomatoes. Their crops are also prone to diseases, and urge the agriculture officers to come to their assistance.
