Goa, April 10 -- Security has been heightened outside Delhi's Patiala House Court ahead of the expected court appearance of Tahawwur Rana, a key accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Following his extradition from the United States, Rana is likely to be produced before the court on Thursday, according to officials.

Rana was brought to India on a special flight accompanied by a multi-agency Indian team, after the US Supreme Court dismissed his plea seeking an emergency stay on the extradition. He is expected to face trial for his alleged involvement in aiding the terrorists responsible for the 2008 attacks that left over 160 dead.
