Goa, Dec. 4 -- A fun canoe outing at Tar, Siolim almost ended in disaster when a canoe carrying three men began filling with water mid-river. The sudden leak left the trio struggling to stay afloat as they desperately attempted to push the sinking vessel back to shore. Two local youths from Siolim, Anil Dhondankar and Glen Rodrigues, noticed the men in distress and immediately rushed in with their own boat. Acting quickly, they managed to rescue all three just moments before a potential tragedy. Their prompt action and courage earned widespread praise from locals, who credited them with preventing a serious mishap.
