Goa, July 6 -- A potentially dangerous situation was swiftly defused in Cobra Vaddo, Calangute, when powerful monsoon winds uprooted a large tree and a coconut palm near Rahul Gym, disrupting power supply and obstructing access for residents. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, thanks to the prompt and coordinated response from local authorities.

The incident, which occurred amid heavy rains and gusty winds, could have escalated quickly. However, the Calangute Panchayat, Fire & Emergency Services, and the Electricity Department acted immediately. Within just 90 minutes, the fallen trees were cleared and electricity was restored, bringing much-needed relief to the area's residents.
