Goa, Jan. 3 -- The Supreme Court will pronounce its verdict on January 5 on the bail pleas of activist Umar Khalid, scholar Sharjeel Imam and five others accused under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act in connection with the 2020 Delhi riots.
A bench comprising Justices Aravind Kumar and N V Anjaria will deliver the judgment on petitions challenging a September 2 Delhi High Court order that denied bail to the accused, citing their alleged role in a "larger conspiracy" behind the violence.
