Goa, July 4 -- At Uguem, Sanguem, an electric transformer is nearly submerged in accumulated rainwater, creating a potentially life-threatening hazard for local residents and electricity department workers.
The waterlogged transformer poses a high risk of electrocution and short circuits, especially as heavy rains continue in the region.
Authorities have been alerted to the situation, and residents are urging the electricity department to take immediate safety measures to prevent any accidents.
Officials have advised people in the vicinity to stay clear of the area until the transformer is secured and the water is drained.
