PANJIM, Feb. 5 -- It is a great irony that police who are supposed to keep law and order and fight crime are themselves found indulging in crime. The recent incident of four policemen suspended appears to be a major embarrassment for the police. Herald Media asked them for their reaction on the fact that instead of cracking down on drugs, police are smuggling drugs in Colvale jail.

The Goa police department is responsible for this. They should have posted honest policemen to the Colvale jail, then this smuggling of drugs would not have happened.
