Goa, Jan. 10 -- Several stray cattle were spotted feeding on a large pile of garbage dumped along the roadside at Indiranagar in Chimbel, raising serious concerns over animal welfare and public health. Visuals from the spot showed cows and calves rummaging through heaps of plastic bags, food waste, cardboard and other discarded materials in search of food. The garbage appeared to have been lying unattended, spilling onto the road and surrounding area. Residents expressed concern that consumption of polythene and other hazardous waste could lead to severe health complications for the animals.
