Goa, Sept. 11 -- A stranger allegedly stole a golden necklace from temple flower seller Saraswati Naik in Kelbaiwada, Mayem on Wednesday. According to reports, the man approached her under the pretext of buying flowers and asked her to accompany him to the temple to make an offering to God.

While at the temple, the accused reportedly blew a powder into Naik's nose, rendering her unconscious, and stole the necklace. Earlier, he had attempted similar tactics at the houses of Savitri Naik and another woman, asking them to join him for a "secret donation" at the temple. Both women refused and alerted the villagers.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. Villagers have been warned to remain cautious of stranger...
