MARGAO, Dec. 4 -- In the ongoing process of finalising the candidates for the upcoming elections Margao Congress Block Committee has shortlisted only one name and that is former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat.
As informed by the South District Congress office, several other block committees have also shortlisted the list of aspirants from the constituencies of Salcete taluka.
In Nuvem constituency total of six names have been shortlisted and amongst them are party's working president Aleixo Sequeira, Everson Vales, Jose Raju Cabral, Zarina D Cunha, Francisco Da Costa and Dolvin Braganza. There are rumours that Aleixo or Jose Cabral are the strong contenders for Nuvem.
