CALANGUTE, Aug. 19 -- Stars de North Goa defeated a fighting Stars de South Goa by a 3-1 score-line in the All Star Veterans football match and organized by Eddie Fernandes and Family Calangute Goa,at Calangute Association ground, Calangute, on Sunday.
Trevor Antao opened the account off a well measured pass from Stars de North Goa skipper Bruno Coutinho.
Just before half-time, Stars de South Goa equalized off a penalty which was converted by Mario Soares when Domnic Pereira handled the ball off a corner.
At half time the score was 1-1.
In the second half both teams came with renewed vigour and dished out fantastic passing game.
