MAPUSA: St Savio's Sports Club, Calangute, humbled Saligao Sporting Club with a 5-0 win to clinch the glittering Calangute Panchayat Cup organised by St Savio Sports Club in memory of Rev Fr Conceicao D'Silva at the Poriat ground, Calangute, on Tuesday.

The final was largely attended and the winners went into the breather with one goal cushion.

St Savio's SC surged ahead in the 14th minute when Saligao SC's Peter Menezes brought down Tanay Kerkar inside the 18-yard box prompting Referee Tejas Nagvenkar to point to the dreaded spot. Dominic Fernandes stepped forward and scored, 1-0.
