Goa, June 12 -- South Goa Collector Egna Cleetus has taken decisive action to protect public safety by ordering the sealing of shops in a Margao building on Thursday. This follows a series of alarming structural failures in the area, raising serious concerns about building safety.
Recently, parts of the Holy Family and Antao Buildings in Margao collapsed, including balconies and, more recently, the gallery of the Holy Family building-posing a grave risk to pedestrians and vehicles below. In response, the administration had already ordered the demolition of two buildings in the area.
