Goa, May 26 -- At the Siolim-Marna Gram Sabha held on Sunday, residents unanimously demanded the reinstatement of Goa's "zero bill scheme" for water, which was discontinued on May 1. Villagers voiced concerns over rising inflation and inconsistent water supply, stating that the scheme's withdrawal has added to their financial burden.
The gram sabha also passed several resolutions focused on improving the village's environmental sustainability and public infrastructure. These included calls for better waste management, enhanced water distribution, and long-term planning for eco-friendly development.
