Goa, Jan. 10 -- India's Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill has finally addressed his exclusion from the T20 World Cup squad. The 26-year-old batter, who served as vice-captain during the Asia Cup 2025, was overlooked by the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel following an underwhelming run in T20Is. Gill featured in 15 T20Is in 2025, scoring 219 runs at an average of 24.25 with a strike rate of 137.26, without registering a single half-century.
