PANJIM: VVM's Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao, bagged the first place in the Goa University's Inter Collegiate Weightlifting Men Championship 2025-26 held at the Jubilee Hall, Goa University, Taleigao Plateau, recently.

PG Goa University secured the runners-up position and VM Salgaocar College of Law achieved the third place.

Gorakshnath Waifalkar of PG Goa University who participated in the upto and including 110kg category won the 'Goa University Iron Man Title with a performance of total 272kg with snatch-126kg and clean & jerk-146kg, having body weight of 94.9kg.
