Goa, Dec. 6 -- A shop located near Yashodhan Hospital in Aquem, Margao, was extensively damaged after a fire broke out on Friday evening. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and swiftly brought the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby establishments.

According to fire officials, the estimated loss from the incident is around Rs.25 lakh. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an assessment is underway to ascertain the extent of the damage and investigate how the blaze originated.

Thanks to the prompt response of the firefighting team, no injuries were reported. Authorities are expected to conduct further inspections and recommend safety measures to avoid similar incidents in the area.
