Goa, Jan. 7 -- Winter conditions tightened their grip over North India on Tuesday as several hill states witnessed fresh snowfall and temperatures dipped sharply across the region. The national capital also recorded its first cold day of the year as daytime temperatures remained significantly below normal.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light snowfall or rainfall is expected to continue in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand over the next few days.
The weather office reported that minimum temperatures had fallen below freezing point in several parts of Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. In Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, temperatures ranged between 0degC and 5degC, whil...
