Goa, Jan. 13 -- A severe cold wave swept across large parts of north India on Monday, pushing temperatures to their lowest levels of the season and intensifying biting cold conditions across the region, including the national capital. As the cold spell continues, doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, have warned that extreme cold can aggravate chronic health conditions, especially those related to the heart, lungs, kidneys and metabolic disorders.
