Goa, July 3 -- The Seraulim bypass has once again been submerged due to its low-lying terrain, disrupting travel and affecting nearby agricultural fields.
Sarpanch Leslie Dourado said that illegal dumping of garbage in the area has worsened the flooding problem. He noted that the bypass remains closed for nearly six months each year because of persistent waterlogging.
A few months ago, Benaulim MLA, railway officials, and panchayat members inspected the site to explore solutions, but no concrete measures have been implemented so far.
