At around 9, Dec. 30 -- Conservation authorities and locals have reported another successful sea turtle nesting at Morjim beach, reinforcing the area's reputation as one of Goa's key turtle conservation zones.

30 p.m. on the 30th, a sea turtle came ashore at Temwada, Morjim, and laid 135 eggs. This is the second nesting recorded so far this season, following an earlier event in which 99 eggs were laid by another turtle.

Last season, Morjim beach witnessed a record 206 sea turtles nesting along its shores, and officials hope the trend of successful nesting continues this year as well.

The eggs are expected to be monitored and protected to ensure safe hatching in the coming weeks.
