Goa, Feb. 29 -- The Seafarers Welfare Fund Society (SWFS) has unveiled two welfare schemes aimed at supporting seafarers and their families. The initiatives come as part of the "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" celebration, demonstrating the society's commitment to recognizing and aiding those who have dedicated their lives to the maritime industry.

Hold an Indian Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC).

Be 75 years and above on or before January 26, 2024.

Have sailed for a cumulative period of at least 6 months between the ages of 55 and 60.

Submit the prescribed form with self-attested Xerox copies of CDC, ID proof, and other required documents.

Eligible Indian seafarers will receive a one-time financial assistance of Rs 25,000/-. Application...
