Goa, Nov. 18 -- Sarzora resi dents have voiced strong opposition to a proposed highway slated to cut through Dandevaddo, ar guing that the project is unnecessary and poses a threat to village environ ment and their daily life. During the village assem bly held on Sunday at the panchayat hall, locals unan imously passed a resolu tion rejecting the proposed route. According to the resi dents, the planned highway alignment cuts through ar eas that form an essential part of Sarzora's natural habitat. They fear the con struction will disrupt local ecology and increase risks for schoolchildren and other pedestrians who use the internal pathways dai ly.
