Goa, Sept. 19 -- The Rs 3 crore Walkway Project in Santa Cruz, originally intended for urban development, has now been repurposed as a cattle and dog pound due to the absence of a dedicated facility for stray animals in the area.

The project, which was still under construction, is now serving as a temporary shelter for stray cattle and dogs. Recent footage captured at night in Bondir, Santa Cruz, shows the site being used for this unexpected purpose, highlighting the pressing need for proper animal management infrastructure in the region.
