Goa, June 23 -- Salman Khan's unforgettable hairstyle from the 2003 film Tere Naam sparked a major fashion trend, with his long, centre-parted locks becoming an instant hit among fans. Now, over two decades later, the superstar has finally revealed the surprising inspiration behind that look.
Appearing on the premiere episode of The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show on June 21, Salman shared that the hairstyle for his character Radhe Mohan was actually inspired by former Indian President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. "The look from Tere Naam was inspired by Abdul Kalam saab," he said. "I felt that small-town heroes usually have long hair. Even the yesteryear stars did. Around that time, Rahul Roy also had a similar style, so it all came together."
