Mapusa, Aug. 19 -- Saligao Sporting Sports Club played their hearts out to register a hard fought 1-0 win over CAC Cansaulim to move ahead in the Anjuna Gymkhana Cup, organised by Anjuna Gymkhana Sports Club, at Anjuna Gymkhana ground, on Sunday.
The all important Goal was scored in the seventh minute of the first session when Abusalia Havaldar ran solo and placed the ball into the far corner of the net.
Both the team played a fast paced game.
Saligao colts had two more chances to take the lead but Cansaulim keeper came up with brilliant saves.
At the other end, Cansaulim too had their chances to level terms but their strikers failed to deliver.
