Goa, June 25 -- The Salaulim Dam in Sanguem is nearing its full capacity, with water levels expected to reach the overflow mark by tonight, according to officials monitoring the reservoir.

The popular dam, known for its scenic surroundings, serves as a crucial water source for South Goa and has also become a major attraction for both tourists and locals. As rainfall continues in the region, the rising water level has drawn attention from across the state.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have advised residents in low-lying areas downstream to remain alert, although no evacuation orders have been issued yet.
