Goa, Aug. 22 -- With Chaturthi approaching, Sakhali roads are in urgent need of repairs, said Praveen Blegan, corporator of Sakhali Municipality. Road excavation that began before the monsoon is still ongoing, despite regulations prohibiting such work during the season. Blegan criticized the authorities, noting that the excavation has reduced road width, causing inconvenience to commuters and raising safety concerns.
"Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant resides in Sakhali and oversees the Public Works Department. He is expected to personally ensure proper road maintenance," Blegan remarked, adding that symbolic gestures like "I love Sakhali" boards are insufficient without basic infrastructure improvements.
