Goa, July 5 -- The Bhati Waterfall in Sanguem has sparked widespread resentment among residents after authorities imposed an entry fee of Rs.100 per person, applicable to both tourists and locals from Sanguem taluka-while only Bhati Panchayat residents are exempted.
Many Sanguem locals have voiced their frustration, questioning why they must pay to access a natural attraction situated within their own constituency. Community members are demanding that the government extend free entry to all Sanguem taluka residents, similar to the policy granted to Bhati villagers.
The fee has also been criticized as excessive, given the lack of basic amenities at the site. The waterfall still does not have toilets, women's changing rooms, seating bench...
