Goa, June 26 -- The roof of the Civil Supplies Department godown at Curti sustained significant damage due to a powerful windstorm, leaving the structure exposed to heavy rainfall and raising concerns over its safety.

According to reports, the windstorm caused sections of the godown's roof to tear open, allowing rainwater to seep in and accumulate inside the premises. This prolonged exposure to water is now posing a serious risk to the structural integrity of the walls, officials said.

Department sources have confirmed that goods stored inside the facility are also at risk of being damaged due to waterlogging.

Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage, and immediate repair work is expected to be initiated. Meanwhile,...
