Goa, May 26 -- The River Navigation Department (RND) has begun trial runs of both roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) ferries on the Zuari River, marking a major step forward in Goa's push to modernize its transport infrastructure and alleviate road congestion. These advanced vessels are designed to carry passengers as well as vehicles-cars, trucks, and buses can drive directly on and off the ferries-streamlining loading and unloading processes and reducing wait times compared to traditional ferry services.
