Goa, Nov. 1 -- Rohit Arya, who allegedly held 18 people, including 17 children, hostage at a studio in Mumbai's Powai, was cremated at the Vaikunth Crematorium in Pune on Saturday morning. Arya died after being shot by the Mumbai Police during Thursday's rescue operation. He had previously run a cafe in Pune that shut down a few months ago and had claimed the Maharashtra government owed him dues for his 'Swacchata Monitor' scheme. Following a post-mortem at J J Hospital, his body was handed over to his family on Friday night.
