Goa, Dec. 17 -- An NGO and youth leader Prabhav Naik have raised serious concerns over the deteriorating condition of traffic islands and footpaths in Margao, warning that the situation poses a major danger to pedestrians.
Highlighting the issue, Naik said several traffic islands across the city are in a state of neglect, while roads have effectively encroached onto footpaths, forcing pedestrians to walk on busy carriageways. He alleged that the lack of maintenance and poor urban planning have increased the risk of accidents, especially for senior citizens, children and persons with disabilities.
