Goa, July 25 -- Clarifying reports of a suspected breakdown, MLA Premendra Shet on Thursday said that the Ro-Ro ferry was not damaged but had to be temporarily taken aside after an object got lodged in its fan.

"The ferry did not break down. Something got stuck in the fan, so the crew took it aside as a precaution. The obstruction was safely removed, and the ferry was promptly brought back into operation," Shet said.

Normal ferry services have since resumed without any further issues.
