India, Dec. 3 -- Calangute MLA Michael Lobo on Wednesday responded to concerns about the perceived mismatch between government tourism data and the on-ground situation, stating that while both Indian and foreign tourist arrivals have increased, Goa has also witnessed a significant rise in accommodation options.

Michael said that the proliferation of guest houses, hotels, rental homes and Airbnb properties across the State has given visitors a wider range of choices. This, he noted, often makes the tourist presence appear less concentrated in traditional hotspots.
