Goa, April 21 -- Former Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in Bengaluru's upscale HSR Layout on Sunday. The 68-year-old retired Indian Police Service officer, a native of Champaran, Bihar, was part of the 1981 IPS batch and held a Master's degree in Geology.
According to police sources, Om Prakash was allegedly stabbed to death, and initial investigations point to his wife, Pallavi, as the prime suspect. His body was discovered lying in a pool of blood on the ground floor of their three-storey residence. The call reporting the incident was made by Pallavi herself, who, along with their daughter, was present at the time.
