Goa, March 10 -- The matter concerning the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Sanguem Children's Park, situated in front of the church, has ignited conversations among the residents of Ward No. 4 Dando. They convened a meeting with their councillor, Iqbal Sayad, to inquire why he did not consult them prior to endorsing the statue's proposed location.

The residents do not object to the statue itself; rather, they express concern that its placement directly in front of the church could lead to unwarranted religious tensions.
