Goa, Dec. 27 -- In a shocking case highlighting the dangers of plastic waste, veterinarians removed 48.3 kg of plastic from the stomach of a 12-year-old cow during an emergency surgery in Pissurle, Goa. The cow was rescued after suffering severe distress following a premature birth. Suspecting plastic impaction, doctors conducted an emergency ruminotomy at a local gaushala.During the procedure, a large quantity of plastic waste was recovered, including plastic bags, PVC fragments, cloth pieces, nylon ropes and metal wire.
