Ravindra Nikam created history by becoming the first person of Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, to achieve the FIDE instructor title in chess held at FIDE Chess Trainer Seminar at Pune, recently. This month he won the second place at the All-India Open Rapid Rated Chess Tournament held at Quepem. He is trained under expert guidance and mentored by FIDE Instructor (FI) Wilson Cruz at the Champion's Chess Academy, Ponda.
