Early Sunday morning, a black panther was killed in an accident on the National Highway at Connem-Priol after it was hit by an unknown vehicle while crossing the road. Locals, who were initially delighted to witness the rare sight of a panther - a rare genetic variant of a leopard, expressed deep sadness over its death. Upon receiving information, Ponda Forest officials picked up the injured animal, which had been struck at around 12:45 am.
