Goa, Dec. 7 -- A tragic fire at Arpora, Goa, early today claimed 25 lives, causing heavy losses to the establishment, its staff, and visiting tourists. Former Union Minister Ramakant Khalap has expressed deep grief over the incident and urged authorities to provide immediate relief and compensation to the victims' families.

"This unfortunate mishap has caused immense loss and trauma to employees and visiting guests. My deepest condolences go out to the families who have lost loved ones, and my prayers are with those recovering from the incident," Khalap said. He called for strict action against those responsible for negligence and a comprehensive review of fire safety across Goa's commercial establishments.
