Goa, March 26 -- Several minor accidents were reported on the Margao-Raia road after an unexpected rainstorm on Tuesday evening caused leachate to seep out of the Sonsoddo garbage dump. The resulting slick layer of waste material on the road led to multiple two-wheeler riders skidding and falling. The busy stretch, which connects Margao with Raia, Curtorim, and other areas, became dangerously slippery, prompting firemen to rush to the scene to wash away the foul-smelling slurry from the road.
