Goa, Jan. 20 -- Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday flagged what he called "India's urban collapse" following the tragic death of 27-year-old software professional Yuvraj Mehta in Noida's Sector 150 last week. In a social media post, Gandhi blamed the incident on a lack of accountability, saying urban failures were not due to shortage of funds or technology but poor governance.
Mehta, who worked in Gurugram and lived in Noida, died late Friday night after his car fell into an unmarked, water-filled roadside ditch near his housing society. Heavy fog reportedly reduced visibility, and the 20-foot-deep pit had no warning signs or barricades.
