Goa, Dec. 1 -- Concerns over former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan's wellbeing intensified this week after his son warned that the family fears authorities may be concealing "something irreversible." The alarm comes as court-ordered prison meetings have reportedly been blocked for more than three weeks, leaving the family without any proof that Khan is alive.

Khan's son, Kasim, called the situation a "human rights emergency," saying that despite a judicial directive for weekly visits, the family has had no verified communication with him. Even Khan's personal doctor, he added, has not been allowed access for over a year.
