Goa, May 19 -- The Public Works Department (PWD) is set to begin a major enforcement drive against unauthorized roadside vendors in Goa's Bardez and Pernem talukas starting May 21. The operation will target illegally placed carts, stalls, and gaddas along the periphery of public roads.

This initiative follows a directive issued by the High Court of Bombay at Goa and a subsequent circular from the Principal Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer (NH, R&B) of the PWD. The order mandates the clearance of all unauthorized encroachments that obstruct traffic flow and compromise road safety.
