India, Feb. 5 -- The Public Works Department (PWD) of Sanguem has once again come under criticism over alleged substandard road repair work at Vorcotto, Sanguem, with locals accusing the department of carrying out low-quality and negligent patchwork.

Residents pointed out that the same stretch of road has been patched for the third time in an attempt to cover up recurring potholes, yet the problem continues to persist.

Adding to concerns, the patchwork was allegedly executed without the use of a road roller, which is essential for proper compaction and durability. Instead, a truck was reportedly used to level the tar, a practice that has raised serious questions about adherence to basic construction standards.
