Goa, Jan. 3 -- Cavelossim sarpanch Dixon Vaz on Tuesday said pubs and clubs were not part of Goa's traditional culture and expressed strong opposition to the proposed 'club policy' that is expected to be tabled ahead of the Goa Assembly session. Vaz said encouraging such establishments would do more harm than good, warning that unregulated nightlife could damage Goa's social fabric and negatively impact sustainable tourism. He stressed that Goa's identity was rooted in its villages, traditions and community life, not in a pub-and-club culture.
