Goa, Oct. 29 -- A Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) attached to the Margao Police Station has been suspended following an incident involving an intoxicated man who was brought to the station for creating a nuisance on October 22, officials confirmed.

According to SP South Goa Tikam Singh Verma, the man, who was under the influence of alcohol, continued to misbehave inside the police station even after being detained. The PSI on duty reportedly intervened to prevent him from causing further disturbance.

However, following the incident, departmental action was initiated, and the PSI has been placed under suspension pending an inquiry into the matter.
