MAPUSA: A splendid hat- trick by Prajot Shirodkar powered Nerul Sports Club to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Sai Avtaar Sports Club, Anjuna, sealing their place in the quarter-finals of the 1st Vedanta Trophy, organised by Sinquerim Sports Club and played at the Sinquerim Sports Club ground.

Prajot opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, giving Nerul SC a slender 1-0 lead at the interval. He doubled the advantage in the 38th minute and completed his hat-trick with a third goal in the 48th, ensuring a convincing win for his side.

Prajot Shirodkar was named man-of-the-match and received the award from Goa Football Association executive committee member, Uday Lingudkar
